About BornholmerFærgen
BornholmerFærgen, founded in 1866, was originally named 'Dampskibsselskabet paa Bornholm af 1866 A/S'. It was commonly referred to as the '66' company.
Until 1973 BornholmerFærgen was a privately run company but is now owned by the Danish state and provides essential transport between the island of Bornholm, Denmark, Germany and Sweden.
The BornholmerFærgen freight ferry service is continually being updated and developed and two new ships have been introduced recently to strengthen the service for passengers, mail and freight to and from the island of Bornholm.
All private use vans exceeding 3500kg or more than 6m in length must be booked as freight. If commercial goods are being carried you must book as freight, regardless of the length.
If your van is under 3500kg or less than 6m long and you are not carrying commercial goods, please visit our passenger website's BornholmerFærgen Ferries page
