Vans - Do I need to travel as freight?
With Irish Ferries, all private use vans exceeding 6.0m in length or 2.6m high must be booked as freight. If commercial goods are being carried you must book as freight, regardless of the length. You can travel on Oscar Wilde, between Cherbourg or Roscoff & Rosslare which takes approximately 18 hrs. January 2014 saw the launch of an additional weekend service between Dublin & Cherbourg. This direct service is operated by Epsilon.
