The port of Kotka merged with the port of Hamina in May 2011. The merger has created the largest general port in Finland and is now known as the Port of HaminaKotka Ltd.

All kinds of cargo are handled at HaminaKotka including containers, RORO, liquid and dry bulk and passengers. As well as serving the Finnish imports and exports, HaminaKotka also serves the traffic to and from St Petersburg and Moscow.

Getting to Haminakotka Ferry Port by road

All the main terminals are located a short distance from the main E18 highway. From Turku on Finland's west coast, to the Russian border, the E18 is mostly dual carriageway.
