Vans - Do I need to travel as freight?
With LD Lines, all private-use vans exceeding 7.5m in length must be booked as freight. If commercial goods are being carried you must book as freight, regardless of the length. LD Lines offers the following ro-ro services from the UK & Ireland to France & Spain-
- 1 return crossings per week from Rosslare to Saint-Nazaire
- 1 return crossing per week from Rosslare to Gijon
- 1 return crossing per week from Poole to Gijon
- 2 return crossings per week from Poole to Santander
- 3 return crossings per week from Saint-Nazaire to Gijon
The services above are operated by the vessels Norman Asturias and Scintu, built in 2008/2009 by the Visentini Italian shipyard, each have capacity for 110 freight vehicles or 150 trailers and a commercial service speed of up to 24 knots.
Facilities onboard Norman Asturias and Scintu include a self-service restaurant, a comfortable pub, shop and cinema.
