The freight ferry port of Santander on the northern coast of Spain is a good entrance for cargo to mainland Spain. The port city of Santander is the capital of the autonomous community of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain between Asturias (to the west) and the Basque Country (to the east). The commercial harbour is in the centre of town.

Getting to Santander Ferry Port by road
Santander provides good road connections to the whole of Spain and the South of France. Take the N634 westwards along the coast towards Coruna, and eastwards towards Bilbao. The N611 goes south to Valladolid and the N623 links the ferry port with Burgos. To get to the port from town follow the signs to Puerto, Zona Maritma or Ferry.
