Vans - Do I need to travel as freight?
With SNCM, all private use vans exceeding 6m in length must be booked as freight. If commercial goods are being carried, or you are travelling for commercial purposes, you must book as freight, regardless of the length. SNCM - The Société Nationale Maritime Corse Méditerranée, is a French ferry company, operating passenger and cargo services in the Western Mediterranean.
SNCM provide regular freight services between mainland France and Corsica, as well as services to to Sardinia, Tunisia and Algeria.
Services to Corsica operate throughout the year from Marseille and Toulon to the Corsican ports of Ajaccio, Bastia, Porto Vecchio, Ille Rousse and Propriano. Services to Sardinia run from mid April through to late October. SNCM also operate passenger and cargo sevices from France to both Tunisia and Algeria
