Vans - Do I need to travel as freight?
With Stena Line, all private use vans exceeding 6.0m in length must be booked as freight. If commercial goods are being carried you must book as freight, regardless of the length. With a crossing time of 3hrs 15mins Stena Danica and Stena Jutlandica together operate up to four sailings in each direction between Gothenburg &Frederikshavn. The 13½ service between Gothernburg & Kiel is maintained by Stena Scandinavica and Stena Germanica, operating a daily overnight departure in each direction. Further south, Varbergis linked with Grenaa in Mid-Jutland by Stena Nautica, operating up to two rotations daily and taking 4hrs 15mins.
The Norwegian capital of Oslo is linked with Frederikshavn by Stena Saga. The crossing time on the southbound overnight service from Oslo is 12 hours whilst the daytime northbound sailing takes 8½ hours. Linking Karlskrona in south-east Sweden with Gdynia in Poland with 12 sailings per week in each direction are Stena Vision and Stena Spirit. The crossing time is 10 ½ hours.
On the Baltic Sea, Stena Line offer five ferry routes between Sweden and Germany to Latvia including Rostock - Trelleborg, Sassnitz - Trelleborg and Travemune - Liepaja.
