Please note, from November 20th the Stena Line Stranraer-Belfast route will no longer operate. This route is being replaced by Cairnryan-Belfast which will also be run by Stena Line, tickets can be booked now for travel on the Cairnryan-Belfast route starting November 21st. Cairnryan port is located just 7 miles North of the current port location in Stranraer.
Just over the border from England and less than two hours drive from Glasgow, the freight port of Stranraer is Scotland's gateway to Ireland - only 90 minutes away by fast ferry. The East Pier of the Stena Line Ferry terminal is where the boats leave for Belfast from but the West Pier is where the fast HSS Catamarans leave for Belfast.

The terminal building has a convenient reception hall, a 24-hour snack bar, a newsagent and vending machines.
Getting to Stranraer Ferry Port by road
Take the M1 and join the M6. Once in Dumfries and Galloway, take the A75 west to reach the Stranraer, Portpatrick and Cairnryan area. If coming from the north-west take the A77 south.
