November 2011 see's the launch of Stena Line's new route from Belfast to Cairnryan, replacing the existing Belfast to Stranraer service. This new, shorter route, will also accommodate two new ships for the Northern Ireland to Scotland service as part of a £200m investment programme. Tickets can be booked now for travel on the Belfast-Cairnryan route starting November 21st. Cairnryan port is located just 7 miles North of the current port location in Stranraer.
Belfast Ferry Port is Northern Ireland's premier maritime gateway, serving the Northern Ireland economy and increasingly that of the Republic of Ireland. Around two thirds of Northern Ireland's commercial ferry freight, and a quarter of that for Ireland as a whole, is handled at this port which receives over 9,000 ships a year.Latest prices
