About England
England is a constituent country within the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with two other constituent countries - Scotland to the north and Wales to the west.
The busiest seaway in the world, the English Channel, separates England from mainland Europe. There are many ferry routes, as well as the Channel Tunnel, that connect England with France. Ferries from England also sail to Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Ireland. Most ferries carry a combination of both tourist and freight traffic, but some are dedicated to the carriage of freight traffic only.
England also includes over 100 islands such as the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight to which regular services operate.
